Long Z. Liu, J.D., M.B.A.

Our lead attorney David Liu has extensive experience as a litigator and trial advocate. He holds a J.D. from Whittier College and an M.B.A. from the University of La Verne.

David is the one-time host of the live-radio show The Attorney Long Z. Liu's Legal Talk Show, and has been a frequent host for Phoenix Satellite TV. He has also been a television commentator for ETTV and various other stations, where he discusses popular legal issues of the day.

David is the author of two books: The Essential Keys to a Successful Business in America, and a self-help guide that discusses love from a divorce attorney’s point of view. David also has plans to write a third book that will address the differences and similarities between traditional Chinese culture and modern American law, and the keys to striking the right balance between fighting for your rights and adopting a tolerant attitude.

Mr. Liu enjoys cooking, tennis, movies, skiing, and sailing. He also enjoys the food and atmosphere of Taiwanese beerhouses, especially if they do not overcharge.

David lives by two philosophies:

  • Life is a process to be grateful for and learned from, for only then can we live life to the fullest.
  • When you take, you make a living; but when you give, you make
    a life.

Recent Successful Cases:

Successfully defended a client in a civil suit brought by the client's brother and Washington Mutual. The parties were seeking $500,000. Mr. Liu obtained a nonsuit, resulting in minimal fees for his client.

Defended clients against lawsuits brought by Chanel and Oakley, with similarly very favorable results.

Successfully defended a Los Angeles Detention Officer in a civil suit brought by a released prisoner that accused the officer of sexual assault.

Successfully defended a local prostitute, and despite a strong case against her, Mr. Liu got her placed into an alternative prosecution program which allowed her to keep her record clean.
